KUCHING: Sarawakian youths have been urged to ensure that Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) wins handsomely in the upcoming 15th General Election (GE15).

Speaking to a huge crowd of youth at the closing ceremony of the Sarawak Youth Day 2022 celebration held at Dataran Perayaan Petra Jaya on Saturday (Oct 22), Premier Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg said this is so that Sarawak’s voice can be heard in Parliament.

“Biar obor Sarawak tetap kuat (Let the Sarawak ‘fire torch’ remain strong). And (let) Sarawak’s voice be heard by Putrajaya through (our) big win in the general election… This is for our youth,” he said.

He said when officiating at the closing ceremony of the Sarawak Youth Day 2022 celebration held at Dataran Perayaan Petra Jaya today.

Abang Johari, who is also the GPS chairman, also called upon Sarawakian to pray that Sarawak is always protected.

“Sarawak, which is united and we in the government, give emphasis on ‘Sarawak First’ for (the benefit) of present and future generations,” he said.
