KUCHING: Era Sarawak, a new rebranding radio station was officially launched yesterday at Pullman Hotel. Initiated last Jan 2, the radio station which formerly known as Era.FM has changed its contents into fully local Sarawak’s.
According to the General Manager of Astro Radio Sabah and Sarawak, Hafizuddin Nizamuddin, the rebranding of Era is to strengthen the position of its ranking and to appeal more to the locals with interesting segments.
“We drop the FM and we rebrand our logo with catchy and fresh style. We also showcase our new DJ announcers – Afick, Fir Affandi, Chopie, Elya, Ezri, Napio and Jonathan Ding – working together with the existing announcer.
“Era Sarawak will also focus and spread its communication through social media platform namely Facebook, Instagram, Whatsapp, Twitter and others,” said Hafizuddin. Among the segments namely ‘Pagi Era Sarawak’ from 6am until 10am (Affick and Fir), ‘Muzik Berdepergh-Depergh Era’ from 10am until 1pm (Elya), ‘Muzik Berdepergh-Depergh Era’ from 1pm until 4.00PM (Napio), ‘Ohaa Era’ from 4pm until 8pm (Chopie), ‘Ilek Lok Era’ from 8pm until 12 midnight (Ezri), and ‘Supersabtu Era’ and ‘E-Pop Era’ from 2pm until 6pm on weekends (Jonathan DingJD).
With the frequency of 96.1FM in Kuching and 101.3FM in Miri, listeners also can follow Era Sarawak through Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
