KUCHING: Christians in Sarawak have gathered at the cemeteries across the state today to observe the All Souls’ Day; remembering those who have died.

Families were seen cleaning the graves of their loved ones before placing flowers, such as daisies, roses, orchids as well candles.

Meanwhile, others were reciting prayers and paying respects to the deceased family members.

In the evening, churches and cathedrals including St Thomas’s Cathedral and St Joseph’s Catholic Church will be offering All Souls’ Day masses in remembrance of the departed souls.

All Souls Day is also known as the Commemoration of All the Faithful Departed and the Day of the Dead, observed by Christians globally on November 2.
