MUKAH: A family of four were made homeless after their home in Kampung Matadeng, Jalan Mukah-Balingian, was engulfed in flames on Monday (May 17).
A spokesperson from the State Fire Department operations centre said firemen from Mukah station was despatched to the scene after receiving a distress call around 9.30am.
Upon arriving, the double-storey house was already up in flames and its occupants comprising three adults and a child, managed to get out safely.
Overhaul works followed suit after the fire was put out by the team.
No human casualties or injuries occurred in the incident.
The cause of the fire and losses incurred is yet to be ascertained.
