Federation to hold SJKC maths competition nationwide

MIRI: The Federation of Ka Yin Chu Associations Malaysia will hold a national SJKC mathematics competition simultaneously across the country this coming Sept 30.

In disclosing this, the federation’s Youth Wing chairman, Donny Koo said the competition has been held for the past 39 years since 1984.

“Last year, we have a total of 3,550 pupils from 554 aided Chinese primary schools (nationwide) taking part in the competition, he said.

On another note, Koo said during the Hari Raya celebration a total of 13 of the federation’s members from West Malaysia were brought for the Raya open house of local community leaders here.

The entourage was here from April 23 to 26.

They visited the houses of Deputy Minister of Health Lukanisman Awang Sauni and Deputy Miri Mayor Ariffin Mohamad among others.

They also paid a courtesy call on Miri Mayor Adam Yii Siew Sang at his office in Marina Park here.
