MIRI: A female promoter in her early 30’s had her handbag snatched by two unknown men riding on a motorcycle along the Jalan Post last Thursday night.
According to sources, in the 8pm incident, the victim was walking towards her parking car at the nearby area when suddenly a motorcycle approached and suddenly her handbag was snatched from behind.
The victim was fortunate as she was not injured in the incident.
Amongst items reported missing in the incident apart from her personal documents was cash amounting to RM40.
A police report was immediately lodged at Miri Central Police station (CPS).
This was the second time snatch theft incident reported occurring in the city.
Less than two weeks ago, a female promoter was reported injured after a snatch thief got away with her handbag.
During the incident that took place at Jalan Boulevard here on July 20, the victim sustained bodily injuries and her hair was entangled on the suspect’s motorcycle.
