KUCHING: A lorry parked by the roadside along Jalan Datuk Haji Daud Abdul Rahman here, caught fire early yesterday (Jan 14).
No injuries or casualties were reported during the 10am fiery incident.
Firemen from Petra Jaya station were promptly deployed to the scene after receiving a distress call.
Upon arriving, they found that the lorry’s front part was completely destroyed.
It took the firemen about 20 minutes to completely extinguish the flames.
The cause of the fire and losses incurred are still under investigation.
