LIMBANG: Scout leaders and rover scouts, led by Limbang District Scout Commissioner Ustaz Abdul Malik Deni, last Saturday (Aug 14) deliver food baskets to the needy in the outskirts of Limbang town.

The Scout Food Bank, which was set up in early July by the Sarawak Scout Council, aims to provide relief to the people who lost their jobs during the Covid-19 pandemic, single mothers and others.

The food bank drive received good support from many generous donors in terms of cash and food items.

The food baskets were delivered in stages here and on Sunday (Aug 15) it covered eligible recipients in Kubong, Batu Danau and Bidang villages.

The team will continue to deliver more food baskets from Monday (Aug 16) onwards.

Joining the team were Capt Zainuddin bin Tan Sri Hamdan, chief Scout Commissioner of Sarawak and Zasran Abdullah, executive secretary of the Sarawak Scout Association.
