BALINGIAN: Distribution of food baskets to respective areas in the Balingian constituency will continue based on the availability of essential items.

A source from the Balingian Constituency Service Centre said that supplies for the food baskets were insufficient, thus affected the distribution effort.

The source added that despite the shortage of provisions, food distribution has to continue.

“Distribution will be carried out to areas which have yet to receive the food items when supplies are sufficient,” the source said during the distribution of food baskets at Kampung Suyong here on Sunday.

A total of 119 food baskets were distributed to recipients of Kampung Suyong (distribution centre), Rumah Tujoh and Rumah Tedong.

According to the source, villagers of Kampung Suyong were adhering to the movement control order (MCO) during the distribution process.

Also present were Balingian Constituency Service Centre special officer Che Ghazali Arbi, Kampung Suyong ketua kaum Beruga Temune, State Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) Youth executive member Royston Valentine and Malaysia Youth member of parliament Tarmizi Karnain.
