JOHOR BAHRU: The former assemblyman for Larkin from Bersatu, Datuk Mohd Izhar Ahmad announced joining Parti Amanah last night.
He handed over his membership form to Amanah president Datuk Seri Mohamad Sabu at a MADANI unity mega ceramah at Taman Rekreasi Taman Uda Utama here which was attended by the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Mohd Izhar who was the former Johor investment, entrepreneur development, cooperatives and human resources committee chairman said he has lost confidence in Bersatu president Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
Last Saturday (Sept 2) former Bukit Pasir PAS assemblyman Najib Lep also did the same and announced his participation in the Amanah party at a ceramah in Sungai Abong, Muar.
Last Friday (Sept 1), Amanah Johor chairman Aminolhuda Hassan in a statement said two former leaders of PAS and Bersatu along with more than 200 members of the two parties will join Parti Amanah in separate programmes. – BERNAMA
