KUCHING: A total amount of RM10,500 was raised for Hope Place Kuching, a local NGO, through Level Up Fitness’ fundraising event here recently.
To celebrate Level Up Fitness’ 10th year anniversary, the gym gives back to the community by donating all its profits received from selling tickets for gym entry, group workout classes, personal training sessions, food sale, merchant booth rentals and charity raffle.
The team hopes that apart from aiming to create a healthier and fitter community, Level Up Fitness will also be able to contribute and help those who are in need.
In quite similar development, Lions Clubs International members recently visited Hope Place Kuching and donated special milk for needy families under Hope Place’s care.
International Lions Clubs District Governor Dr Gan Kean Siong led a team of Lions Clubs leaders to find out more about the needs of Hope Place and its activities, especially in helping the Penans in interior Sarawak.
During the visit, Dr Gan handed over RM7,000 worth of special milk to Hope Place’s founder Kelvin Wan.
Hope Place
has been helping the underprivileged community in Kuching since 2013 and is
currently taking care of more than 190 families/individuals in terms of basic
food aid and special needs items.
