KUCHING: Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Dr Sim Kui Hian has urged his Ministry of Health, Public Housing and Local Government and agencies under its jurisdiction to make use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technology in their work.

He said the world is currently using and adapting to such technology.

“I urge you to start looking into it, how you can use AI to assist you in your work because it is already a part of our lives. I want the local authorities, even the Department of Irrigation and Drainage (DID), even in the jungle of Borneo to be aware of what’s happening. This is very important,” he said.

Dr Sim said this in his speech at the Excellent Service Awards 2022, the 2023 Innovative and Creative Group Award 2023 and the Smart Community Award held here last night (Dec 12).

On the event, Dr Sim said award recipients should infuse improvements and innovations that can be agents of positive transformation.
