KUCHING: It was a proud moment for 311 students from Technology College Sarawak (TCS) as they received their graduation scrolls yesterday.

The university’s 15th convocation themed “Crystal Convocation” held at Riverside Majestic Hotel was witnessed by the Tourism, Art, Culture, Youth, and Sports Minister Datuk Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah along with the presence of more than 800.

Earlier in his speech, Karim congratulated the students for their hard work and achievements.

“As you’ve completed your studies, please remember your parents who had made many sacrifices in order for you to reach this far,” he said.

He said it is always the parent’s priority to see their children succeed in life, and thus the children in return must deliver their best be it in their careers or their families.

“Students must not solely rely on certificates or grades to be successful, but it is also very important to have self-determination and discipline, as well as being humble in life.”
