KUCHING: Sarawakians must continue to support the Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) state government and the Perikatan Nasional (PN) federal government to ensure political stability and the state’s continued development agenda.

Batu Kitang assemblyman Lo Khere Chiang said  the nation and state’s development would only carry on  when the politics of the day was stable, Otherwise, everything would go haywire.

“Imagine if there is a change in the government again at the federal level, all the state’s initiatives will go down the drain. Everything, especially project allocation, will go haywire.

“Who knows what is the agenda of the next political leadership? We will never know.

“So that is why it is so important to support GPS under the leadership of the Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg and Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin’s government to ensure there is political stability.

“The support of Sarawakians is also important to ensure there is continued development agenda under the leadership of Abang Johari,” he said at a press conference in Kampung Bumbok in Batu Kitang here on Thursday (Nov 26).

“For instance, due to the state government’s aspiration in digital economy, we can see that Telekom Malaysia Berhad (TM) has come forward to work together and provide its UniFi service in Batu Kitang Constituency here.

“This is also immediately after I brought up the issue of poor Internet connection in my constituency in the recent State Legislative Assembly (DUN) sitting,” he added.
