KUCHING: A 40-year-old man who is believed to have suffered from a heart attack lost control of his van at 9.50am yesterday and crashed into a ditch.
Wilson Liew from Taman Duranda Emas, Kuching-Serian Road was driving along Mile 15, Jalan Sebenyis, Kuching-Serian Road when the accident occurred.
Eyewitnesses said they saw his vehicle went off the road and tried to help but found him lifeless.
Paramedics from the Sarawak General Hospital confirmed his death.
His remains were brought to the hospital morgue for a post-mortem. The vehicle was also sent to Puspakom for inspection.
Sarawak Head of Traffic Investigation and Enforcement Supt Alexson Naga Chabu confirmed the case.
