PADAWAN: Puncak Borneo MP, Willie Mongin urged the Youth and Sports Ministry to hold more sports activities for the youths in his constituency.

“By exposing them to sports, especially among the youth in this area (Puncak Borneo) can improve their health as well as reveal their talents and potentials.

“Besides, sports activities will also provide the youth with the opportunity to get involved in them,” he said when he officiated at a pocket bike clinic held at Perpustakaan Desa (rural library), Taman Duranda Emas, Siburan, here, yesterday.

Willie added that it was better for the youths to get involved in sports than unhealthy activities. Hence, he urged parents to play their role by encouraging their children to get involved in sports.

The Youth and Sports Ministry’s Pocket Bike Clinic encourages youth to be involved in motor sports and to produce as many motor sports athletes as possible.

It is also the aspirations of the motor sports industry to have a positive impact on the development of the country’s economy and social development.
