KUALA LUMPUR: Honda Malaysia has officially launched its flagship SUV, the 6th Generation All-New Comfortable Runabout Vehicle (CR-V), aiming to redefine the SUV market with its latest offering, ‘THE ULTIMATE SUV.’
The model boasts a new generation 2.0L e:HEV powertrain and a redesigned exterior that embodies the Honda DNA, making a bold statement in the SUV segment.
The press release highlights the All-New CR-V’s elegant exterior, premium and spacious interior, unparalleled comfort, and a range of advanced technologies.
The model, positioned to set new standards, aligns with current market trends and demand in the SUV segment.
Notably, the CR-V has witnessed a 10 per cent year-on-year growth in sales for the first three quarters of 2023, maintaining its top position in the Non-National Mid-Size SUV Segment.
“With over 2,000 bookings in just one month, the comprehensive SUV package of the All-New CR-V has contributed to its soaring popularity,” according to a press statement.
The All-New CR-V offers two powertrains and is available in four variants, catering to diverse customer preferences. The e:HEV RS variant, equipped with a new generation 2.0L e:HEV powertrain, promises outstanding engine performance, fuel efficiency, and high-power compatibility.
Setting a benchmark for safety, the model incorporates eight airbags, including two knee airbags, as standard across all variants.
The upgraded Honda SENSING system with a Wide-Angle Radar, Camera, and Sonar Sensor enhances active and passive safety performance in the SUV.
Customers can choose from five attractive colours, including the new Canyon River Blue Metallic, joining the existing line-up of Platinum White Pearl, Lunar Silver Metallic, Meteoroid Gray Metallic, and Ignite Red Metallic.
The e:HEV RS variant will be available in early 2024, with pricing to be announced closer to the delivery period.
