MIRI: Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) on Saturday night successfully removed a hornet’s nest from a mango tree of a house in Pujut 5B.
The nest with the size of a Perodua Kancil’s tyre, was first spotted earlier that day by a man who was about to do some grass cutting work at the house’s compound.
“He immediately alerted the house’s owner,” said Miri APM officer-in charge Lt. (PA) Mirwan Shah Masri.
A team of four APM personnel arrived at the location around 8.50 pm in response to an emergency call.
The operation ended 20 minutes later with no untoward incident.
