MUKAH: Tellian assemblyman Yussibnosh Balo continued to conduct house-to-house registration of selected senior citizens here for the Kenyalang Gold Card (KGC) initiative yesterday.

The registration of KGC and Sentuhan Kasih N57 Tellian programme was organised by Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) N57 Tellian branch.

Accompanied by some N57 PBB members, Yussibnosh visited 17 selected senior folk at Kampung Petanak and assist them in filling the KGC forms.

He also explained about the benefits of KGC to the seniors and their families, and simultaneously presented the former with some token.

The programme began on Feb 1 to 4 (at Kampung Tellian Daya), Jan 5 (Kampung Seri Tellian), and expected to end today (Kampung Kuala Lama).

Tellian Constituency service centre special officer Felix Pieng said the current exercise is phase one of the programme.

“There will be phase two, and for phase three, we are still planning on it and will hold a meeting again to discuss it,” he said to New Sarawak Tribune through WhatsApp.

He added that the programme will definitely cover all the areas in the Tellian constituency.

The KGC initiative was introduced by the Sarawak government last month to assist senior citizens aged 60 years old and above, especially the poor.
