SARIKEI: Repok assemblyman Datuk Seri Huang Tiong Sii provided assistance to 64 inhabitants of Rumah Panjang Robert last Thursday (April 22).
The 14-door longhouse is under enhanced movement control order (EMCO) for 14 days from April 21 to May 5 after Sarikei District Health Office detected a close contact of Covid-19 positive case among the residents.
The assistance was in the form of food such as rice, sugar, cooking oil, instant noodles, eggs, beverages, salt and flour.
Kapitan Ling Dien Yong represented Huang during the handover of the food to the longhouse folk.
On a related matter, Repok Service Centre under the purview of Huang handed over a medical bed to 78-year-old Yong Yii Teck at Jalan Dermaga.
The handover took place last Friday (April 23).
