KUCHING: La Promenade Mall welcomes a new star to its culinary landscape – Iced, a newly opened designer bar promising an immersive experience in the world of cocktails, wine, and spirits.

Led by mixologist Clare Geena and bartender Aloysius Gugun, Iced promises a refined experience with locally-inspired concoctions.

Clare, a Culinary Arts graduate from Kuala Lumpur, brings her culinary prowess to the table with a meticulously curated menu featuring 25 cocktails.

This selection includes modern classics and a wine collection, all rated over four out of five on Vivino. Notable mentions like Chablis Reserve De Vaudon and Torbeck Woodcutter’s Shiraz add an exclusive touch.

“I’m excited to serve new recipes alongside the classics like Old Fashioneds at Iced. Our menu is a labour of love, something I’ve worked on since pre-Pandemic.

“I’m taking universal cocktail elements and incorporating local twists for new yet familiar drinks for everyone.

“We’re careful to choose better wines. Most wines are not on retail shelves. We’re particular with suppliers to get the good stuff,” said Clare.

The bar boasts an impressive range of premium spirits such as Japanese Yamazaki 12 and Hennessy XO brandy, offering a sophisticated experience for spirit enthusiasts.

The bar spanning 911 square feet, Iced captivates with an intimate design conceptualised by Australian-based architect Janani Premchandh. Hand-stained timber veneer, stainless steel, and grey marble contribute to an ambiance that seamlessly merges luxury with warmth.

A limited seating capacity of 25 people ensures an exclusive and personalised experience, complemented by a unique counter, booths, and private sections.

Clare Geena’s vision, coupled with Janani Premchandh’s architectural finesse, creates a haven for those seeking a respite from the ordinary.
