Julau turns red after 42 cases in 14 days

KUCHING: Julau District has been declared a red zone after recording 42 Covid-19 cases in the past two weeks, all local transmissions.

Bau and Kanowit changed to orange after recording 38 and 22 cases respectively within the time period.

Belaga turned into a yellow zone on Monday (March 8) after recording one locally transmitted case.

Selangau, Betong, Meradong, Kuching, Kapit, Bintulu, Miri, and Sibu are still red zones after recording 2,697 cases.

The orange zones are Samarahan, Sarikei, Serian, Subis, Dalat, and Sri Aman with 181 cases.

Meanwhile, Lundu, Bukit Mabong, Tatau, Marudi, Mukah, Pusa, Song, Asajaya, Beluru, Saratok and Sebauh stay yellow with 76 cases.

As of Monday, 11 districts are listed as green zones in Sarawak.

There are also a total of 26 active clusters, including Jalan Ho Pin Cluster, and Univista Cluster in Samarahan; Jalan Muhibbah Cluster in Betong; Emperoh Jambu Cluster, Jalan Green Cluster, and Kampung Sungai Maong Cluster in Kuching; and Buloh Cluster in Selangau.

In Meradong, the active clusters are Sungai Bakong Cluster, and Bintang Daily Cluster; Kejatau Cluster and Sebangkoi Cluster in Sri Aman; Jan Yong Cluster, and Gelong Cluster in Kapit; Kidurong Dua Cluster, and Jun Heng Cluster in Bintulu; Nanga Lijan Cluster and Bukit Tunggal Cluster in Julau; Seruas Cluster in Beluru; and Jalan Pengiran Cluster in Matu.

The others clusters are Tabong Cluster in Bau; Rakut Cluster in Miri; Bukit Sekubong Cluster in Sebauh; Kiba Cluster, Jalan Awang Cluster, Geronggang Cluster, Mas Merah Cluster, and Pasai Cluster with its Tangap (Subis) sub-cluster in Sibu.
