KUCHING: Minister of Tourism, Arts, Culture, Youth and Sports, Datuk Haji Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah recently met the industry players including Chairman of Sarawak Tourism Frederation (STF), Phillip Yong, Sarawak Association of Tourism Attractions (SATA) President, Fiona Marcus Raja and others to consolidate an effective solution that would add value to all levels of business in the tourism sector.

The solution explored was from Social Community Technology (Socoe), presented by its CEO, Sam Wong (JW) and his team.
Karim is passionate and eager about creating impactful change in the tourism sector, and recognises the importance of working closely with industry leaders in order to realise the visions and goals of the ministry and government as a whole.

Some of the discussions touched on the Socoe’s solution which was highlighting benefits of its technology that would enable value adds on all levels – Government to Business (G2B), Business (B2B) as well as Business to Consumer (B2C) – which were parallel with the objectives of the ministry.

An important benefit of Socoe’s solution was its ability to be implemented immediately, as a
result of the forward planning and investments of Socoe.

This proves highly beneficial and cost effective to the ministry as time is of the essence towards Visit Sarawak Year 2019.

Socoe has previously helped Sarawak Lorries Transport Association, which comprises 475 companies, to go digital in a span of a month.
