TELOK MELANO: The earth-breaking ceremony for Masjid Al-Sultan Abdullah here was officiated by Yang Di Pertuan Agong Al-Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Bilal Shah today.

The project costing over RM 5 million is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.

According to Tanjung Datu assemblyman Azizul Annuar Adenan, the mosque is named after the King.

“InsyaAllah, we name the mosque after His Majesty.

“This mosque will stand as a prominent Islamic symbol in Telok Melano, making it a focal point for the area. Visitors, especially Muslims, will have a serene spot for their prayers and to appreciate the beautiful landmark,” he said.
