KUCHING: The Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Kota Sentosa has received RM700,000 allocation from the Unit for Other Religions (UNIFOR).

The allocation was handover by Kota Sentosa assemblyman Wilfred Yap to Father Felix Au of the church today (September 2)

During the ceremony, Yap asked the church committee to provide a report to UNIFOR about how they used the money.

This is important because the Sarawak government wants to make sure the money is used properly.

Yap said that Sarawak can show how to have good and fair policies for everyone, no matter their religion or race.

“I hope that the government will continue gradually increasing the allocation of funds for UNIFOR, so that more religious bodies and mission schools in Kota Sentosa that need funds can receive assistance,” he said.
