Kuching Waterfront undergoes sanitisation

KUCHING: The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) Sarawak conducted sanitisation work at two public locations around the city centre here yesterday morning to curb the spread of Covid-19.

In a statement, they said the first area covered was India Street, involving external areas and pedestrian walks, encompassing a total of 2,586 square metres.

The next area was the Kuching Waterfront, with sanitisation works starting from the Waterfront Police Station to the Imperial Riverbank area — a total area of 20,762 square metres.

Both operations involved a total of 21 personnel — 12 from Bomba Sarawak, six from Kuching South City Council (MBKS), and three from the Health Ministry.
