THE third day of the third session of the first term of the 19th Sarawak Legislative Assembly (DUN) commenced on Today (Nov 23) with elected representatives from across the state converging on the DUN complex.

The sitting began with a prayer at 9.09am in the DUN chambers.

Speaker Datuk Amar Tan Sri Mohamad Asfia Awang Nassar said leave of absence was granted to Batu Danau assemblyman Paulus Palu Gumbang from Wednesday to Friday (Nov 25).

The sitting proceeded with an hour of question-and-answer session followed by second and third reading of the Sarawak Timber Industry Development Corporation (Amendment) Bill 2022 by Deputy Minister for Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment, Datuk Len Talif, and the Veterinary Public Health (Amendment) Bill 2022 by Minister for Food Industry, Commodity and Regional Development, Datuk Seri Dr Stephen Rundi Utom.

Following this was the debate on the second reading of the Supply Bill (2023) 2022 and a motion to refer to the Resolution of the Development Expenditure Budget for 2023.
