Lee leads vaccine recipients in Miri

MIRI: Minister for Transport and Senadin assemblyman Datuk Lee Kim Shin led the first batch of recipients for the Covid-19 vaccine here when he received his first dose today.

He later told newsmen that he did not feel any pain when the vaccine was administered on him.

“I did not feel anything when they injected me,” he said.

Lee who is also minister in charge of the Divisional Disaster Management Committee, was inoculated at 3pm at Eastwood Valley Gold and Country Club.

Also seen receiving their first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine were Assistant Minister for Tourism, Arts and Culture Datuk Sebastian Ting and Telang Usan assemblyman Dennis Ngau.

“I am feeling well, don’t be afraid to get vaccinated,” Lee pointed out.

Upon completion of the process, Lee was given a vaccine card, a proof that he has been vaccinated and a reminder date for his second vaccination.

“My second shot will be on March 27,” he said.

Hence, he urged the public in Miri to register for their vaccine as soon as possible.

“Do register for the vaccination on MySejahtera or at the nearest district office or with the respective village head for those residing in the longhouses,” he said.
