KUCHING: In conjunction with the MyRamadan programme organised by Halaqah Kemajuan Muslim Sarawak (Hikam), approximately 250 households from all over Sarawak will receive packed food donations

The 250 households come from the eight districts of Kuching, Bau, Serian, Samarahan, Mukah, Sibu, Bintulu, and Miri.

Together with the event, participants from Sarawak Volunteers, Surau PUSAKA, and Maruf Kenyalang Club will be splitting up distributing the donations around Kuching for 150 households.

“The programme ran from April 4 to April 16 and is an annual programme that may be extended until the end of the month due to high demand,” said the Director of the MyRamadhan programme, Syahazlan Sahmat.

“Last year, it was a big hit as we were able to donate up to 700 pax all around Sarawak,” Syahazalan added.

Syahzalan also stated that 150 volunteers’ jobs were divided equally in Sarawak; some were responsible for distribution via drive-thru, while others handled the logistics of the operation.
