TATAU: The Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) organised a ‘Fire Point’ programme at three longhouses here to create awareness on fire safety today (April 8).
The programme was held at Rumah John Asan, Rumah Pada Selan and Rumah Jumput Sendok.
During the event, longhouse residents were given a briefing on how to properly extinguish a fire prior to the Bomba personnel’s arrival.
Apart from that, fire extinguishers were also provided to the longhouses during the programme.
Tatau District Bomba chief Jankey Jikat was among those present during the event.
