Mall clarifies voice message

KUCHING: CityOne Megamall clarified that a voice message circulating around saying that its staff will need to undergo Covid-10 swab tests is false.

The 34-second-long voice massage stated that the mall’s manager, after attending a meeting, said that there is a possibility that all the workers would need to take the swab test.

“The management wishes to inform everyone that the content of the voice message which had been circulating around is false, untrue and inaccurate in any event.

“A police report had been made on July 26 pertaining to the matter,” it said in a statement posted on its Facebook page.

The mall also said that they have always adhered to the standard operating procedure (SOP) as per the government’s directives for a safe and healthy environment for its patrons’ wellbeing.

“Let’s work together to prevent the spread of Covid-19,” it said.
