Man claims trial to raping minor at timber camp

SIBU: A 45-year-old man claimed trial in the Sessions Court on Tuesday (Mar 14) to three charges of raping an underaged girl.

On the first count, Tile Aing stands charged with raping the minor aged 10 years and 11 months, at a timber camp in Song district at about 1am on Sept 17 last year.

The second charge accuses him of raping the same victim at the same place at about 3am on Sept 17 last year.

On the third count he allegedly raped her again at the same place at about 5.30am on Sept 17 last year.

Each offence is framed under Section 376 (2) (e)of the Penal Code which provides for a jail term of between 10 and 30 years and whipping on conviction.

Sessions Court Judge Marutin Pagan allowed Tile to be released on a bail of RM10,000 in two sureties and fixed pre-trial case management for May 16.

In the same court, Tile also faced another three charges of committing sexual offences against the same victim.

However, he denied all the charges preferred against him.

On the first charge, he was alleged to have fondled the victim’s breast whereas the second and third charges accused him of rubbing the victim’s vagina, all for sexual purposes, at about 1am, 3am and 5.30am, respectively at the same place on Sept 17 last year.

Marutin granted bail in the sum of RM10,000 in two sureties and fixed  pre-trial case management for May 16.
