BAU: A local man died on the spot following a fatal two-vehicle collision along Jalan Keranji-Batu Kitang yesterday (Mar 5).
A spokesman for the Fire and Rescue Department (Bomba) said the accident involving a Perodua Kelisa and a Perodua Myvi happened around 6.45pm.
Firemen from Bau station were promptly deployed to the scene after they received a distress call.
On arrival, they proceeded to extricate the Kelisa driver who was trapped in his seat, using rescue tools.
Ismajulian Julia, 34, was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics and his body was taken to Bau Hospital for a post-mortem.
Meanwhile, four individuals in the other car only sustained minor injuries and were administered first aid at the scene before being taken to Bau Hospital for further treatment.
