KUCHING: A garbage truck rammed the front of a house at RPR Batu Kawa in a suspected revenge attack yesterday.
During the 1.30pm incident, residents of the area reported hearing a man screaming, who then hijacked the truck and drove off recklessly moments later before slamming into the property.
The man is believed to have gotten into an argument with the house owner.
Earlier, the perpetrator attempted to ram into the house with his car but failed. He was seen stopping a garbage truck and threatened to hurt the workers inside if they refused to vacate it.
The front gate and a section of a wall of the house as well as a car within the compound were damaged following the crash.
The man then fled the scene immediately. Therewere no reports of injuries in the incident.
Padawan district police chief Supt Aidil Bolhassan, when contacted, confirmed the case and said police are investigating, adding that a manhunt has been activated to locate the suspect.
