KUCHING: To commemorate World Diabetes Day, the Sarawak Branch of Diabetes Malaysia will organise a week-long series of activities aimed at enhancing awareness and encouraging self-care for individuals affected by diabetes, said Dr William Voon.

The chairman said a talk on diabetes mellitus will be presented by Dr Zaitul of Polyclinic Mosque Road which will be done on zoom at 7 pm today (Nov 16).

“Every community member is encouraged to log in and participate in Dr Zaitul’s presentation. Subsequent to her talk, a session will be dedicated to questions and answers.

“The ID address for the talk is 845 6375 3467, and no password is required,” he said in a press release.

There will be a speech contest on diabetes for Form 5 students, running from Nov 23 to the finals on Nov 26. The goal is to enhance awareness of diabetes within our community, with the designated topic being ‘diabetes hurts our body, it can kill.’
