KUCHING: Fourteen staff of the Urban Development and Natural Resources Ministry received the Excellence Service Awards at a dinner held at a local hotel last Sunday.

Five retiring staff and ten other staff who had been transferred to other departments were also honoured at the dinner.

Urban Planning, Land Administration and Environment Assistant Minister Datuk Len Talif Salleh officiated at the event on behalf of Deputy Chief Minister and Urban Development & Natural Resources Second Minister Datuk Amar Awang Tengah Ali Hasan.

In his speech, Len encouraged the ministry staff to continue with their quality and exemplary services in their jobs.

He also stressed the importance of cooperation and teamwork among   the staff.

He hoped the excellence awards would motivate the other staff to work harder and give better services.

Len said the ministry would miss the staff who were retiring this year as they had served it for a while.
