MIRI: Police are investigating a case involving a 44-year-old unidentified Indonesian man, who was found unconscious by the roadside near Binu Farm in Bekenu here, early this morning (Aug 12).
Miri OCPD ACP Hakemal Hawari said the man was spotted lying shirtless in a weak condition by a guard on duty at the farm at around 6am.
“The victim suffered severe injuries to his back caused by what is believed to be a sharp weapon.
“He was then taken to Beluru Health Clinic and was immediately directed to Miri Hospital for further treatment.”
He revealed that the victim was reported to have been beaten up near Sepupok, Niah at around 2am, Thursday.
A manhunt is underway to find the perpetrators. “So far no arrest has been made.”
