KUCHING: Miri Division has a registered 61.4 percent of its residents for the Covid-19 vaccination using the MySejahtera application.

This equates to 158,963 people aged 18 and above in the division who have registered for the ongoing vaccination programme.

Minister in-charge of Miri division Disaster Management Committee (DDMC), Datuk Lee Kim Shin said it was vital to take the Covid-19 vaccination in order to stem the spread of the pandemic.

“When a large number of people are immunised and generate antibodies, there will be enough herd immunity in order to stop the spread of the virus.

“Those who do not have the MySejahtera application or do not have access to internet facilities are requested to register through the following four channels, namely through the District Offices; Village heads, Kapitan and Tuai Rumah who will be assisted by their respective JKKK, through the Residents Committee (RC) (Miri City Council, Subis District Council, Marudi District Council) or register at the nearest Health Clinic (for rural areas only) during office hours, Monday to Friday,” said Lee.
