NILAI: Associate Professor Dr Mohd Rushdan Mohd Jailani has been appointed as Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM) Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Student Affairs and Alumni for a three-year term from Jan 1, 2019, to Dec 31, 2021.

He replaced Professor Datuk Dr Hassan Basri Awang Mat Dahan whose contract ended on Dec 31 last year.

Meanwhile, in a statement issued by USIM, Mohd Rushdan was quoted as saying that he aimed at bringing USIM students and alumni to greater heights and improve the university’s image locally and abroad.

“I also plan to create a culture of contributing back to the university among the students and alumni, either through endowment, expertise, student development, cooperation or promotion,” he said. – Bernama
