KUCHING: The Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) Sarawak Regional Office plans on implementing 56 capacity building programmes throughout the year.

It will involve 10 series that have already been planned and will be held outside of Kuching such as in Sibu, Bintulu and Miri. Board Member of MPC, Datuk Abang Abdul Karim Tun Openg revealed that in the efforts of building up excellence within an organisation, it was important for the workforce to increase their competency levels through the appropriate programmes.

“The MPC has been given the responsibility to increase expertise and capabilities in regards to productivity and quality,” he said during the launching ceremony of ‘BE101: Bengkel Kecemerlangan Perniagaan Sebagai Medium untuk Kelestarian Organisasi Siri 1/2018’ which was held at the Sarawak Regional Office here yesterday.

“This programme is the first step for the organisation to implement business excellence programmes. “In the not-too-distant future, hopefully more companies can be seen as examples to Malaysia and I hope this momentum continues,” said Karim.
