LUNDU: The Hari Raya Aidilfitri celebration continues to be celebrated by the locals here at Lundu.
With the ongoing festivity, the residents here had enthusiastically welcomed Minister of Women, Family and Community Development Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri to the Aidilfitri open house held at Mahligai Gading Multipurpose Hall here today (May 1).
It is said that the open house here is organised on the 10th Syawal to entertain the community in the Lundu area.
Nancy, who arrived around 10.30 am, wore an orange baju kurung and was joyfully welcomed by the people here.
She was accompanied by Tanjung Datu Assemblyman Azizul Annuar Adenan, Lundu District Officer Gustian Durani, Former Tanjung Datu Assemblyman Datuk Amar Jamilah Anu and others.
The festivity held here was not only attended by the Malay community but also joined by various races and nationalities.
A variety of dishes and drinks were served, while guests were entertained with performances to enliven the Hari Raya celebration.
Furthermore, the children who attended were also given ‘Duit Raya’ at the open house.
