THE phase two proposal of the Nanga Entabai-Ratau Limau road was not approved under the Twelfth Malaysia Plan Rolling Plan 3 (2023).

Replying to Meluan Assemblyman Rolland Duat Jubin during question time on its status, Infrastructure and Port Development Deputy Minister Aidel Lariwoo said the Public Works Department (PWD) had submitted the proposal to the Rural and Regional Development Ministry under the Twelfth Malaysia Plan Rolling Plan 3 (2023).

“However, it was not approved. Therefore, the proposal of the project was submitted for Twelfth Malaysia Plan Rolling Plan 4 (2024) for consideration,” he said today.

According to him, phase 1 of the project was actually completed using the standard stone roads (jalan batu).

“So for this phase 2, the proposed scope of work is to upgrade and pave the 9.5km of the stone road to PWD R1 standard road under the Federal Rural and Regional Development Ministry.

“The estimated cost of this proposed construction is RM70 million,” he said.
