KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg received a courtesy visit from the newly appointed director of State Education Department, Abang Mat Ali Abang Masagus at his office in Wisma Bapa Malaysia, on Monday (June 22).
Abang Mat commenced duty last May.
Former State Education director Dr Azhar Ahmad has been transferred to the Education Policy Planning and Research Division (BPPDP) of the Ministry of Education in Putrajaya, after serving for a year and a half in the state since 2018.
Also accompanying during the courtesy visit was Minister of Education, Science and Research Technology Sarawak, Datuk Michael Manyin Jawong, and deputy director of State Education Department, Omar Mahli.
