KUCHING: The new faces fielded by Gabungan Parti Sarawak (GPS) in the 15th General Election (GE15) have what it takes to be MPs.

In stating this, GPS publicity and media relations chairman Datuk Idris Buang said the party’s chairman Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg has a holistic system when it comes to fielding candidates in every election.

“We check every fact on the background of every candidate. For that, I am sure they are chosen because they have all the good points within them.

“Moreover, with the points that they have, we can provide them the exposure needed and guidance so that it will bring them far (in the political field),” he said.

He said this during the 15th General Election (GE15) Chit Chat at Parti Pesaka Bumiputera Bersatu (PBB) headquarters on Today(Nov 12).

Idris appealed to the voters to therefore give the new GPS candidates a chance in this GE.

“The first five years are very important for them as leaders. It may be a testing ground at the same time, but it will be good for their experience for the future,” he said.
