Dr Annuar Rapaee, Assistant Minister of Local Government and Housing, was present during the   presentation of the letter.

Also present was Senator Robert Lau Hui Yew.

Tai, 58, the managing director of Pansar Holdings Berhad, added he would assist the state government to combat the Covid-19 pandemic by ensuring that the people at the grassroots level follow the standard operating procedures (SOPs) at all times.

“I’ll also encourage them to be vaccinated,” he added.

Tai added that if the pandemic situation improved in the future, he would work on community development issues alongside Temenggong Datuk Vincent Lau Lee Ming.

“I will collaborate closely with Vincent, as well as the Kapitan and Penghulu to serve not only the Chinese   but also other races,” he continued.
