LUNDU: The construction of new roads in Opar constituency enables the local residents to develop their land.
Opar assemblyman Billy Sujang said that the construction of these roads not only served transportation purposes but also facilitated the development of agricultural land, thereby enhancing the income of the surrounding population.
“These agricultural roads will be developed through Rural Transformation Project (RTP) fund and the Greater Kuching Coordinated Development Agency (GKCDA) in an effort to develop land that is located too far from accessible routes,” he was quoted as saying in an UKAS report after the handover ceremony of school uniform voucher assistance from Yayasan Sarawak recently.
On the preparation for the northeast monsoon, Billy urged residents to be vigilant and to store perishable items in elevated places.
