Officially husband and wife...Ahmad Asyraf and Noor Syahhira

KUCHING: The joyous union of New Sarawak Tribune’s reporter, Noor Syahhira Hady, and Ahmad Asyraf Abdull Razak, marked a momentous occasion after three years of engagement.

The couple’s solemnization ceremony graced the halls of Masjid Darul Hana on Thursday (Nov 23), attended by close family and friends who gathered to witness their heartfelt commitment.

Their love story began in 2018, sparked by a mutual friend’s introduction.

Within a week of getting to know each other, they decided to take the plunge into official commitment.

In 2020, amid the challenges posed by the pandemic, Asyraf completed his Diploma in Information Technology (IT) at i-CATS University College but had to return to his hometown in Miri following the COVID-19 pandemic.

Overcoming the distance of 515km, he secured an IT technician position in Kuching, reuniting with Noor Syahhira.

Their wedding reception at CIDB Convention Centre today (Nov 25) welcomed around 300 guests.

Bedecked in maroon traditional songket outfits as ‘Raja Sehari’, the newlyweds left a lasting impression on their guests with their captivating presence.
