Junior climbers set to conquer Mount Kinabalu

KUCHING: A total of 25 members of ‘Kelab Kembara Anak Sarawak’ departed to Kota Kinabalu on Monday in a mission to conquer the peak of Mount Kinabalu.

In a press statement issued yesterday, the Chairman of Kelab Kembara Anak Sarawak, Yusuf Buji said that the members were mostly junior members who had been given the opportunity to experience mountain climbing.

The climbing expedition started yesterday and is expected to reach the top in the early morning of March 21 (Today).

The expedition would continue on to Tambunan to conquer Mount Trusmadi, the second highest mountain in the country.

The expedition also involved the participation of various professionals other than government and private officers from the state.

Leading the climbing expedition were Mohd Khir Johari and Evelin Ruman.
