MUKAH: An environmental signboard was erected by Lions Clubs at Taman Boulevard Setia Raja Mukah, here, on Sunday afternoon(28 January).
It was a joint project by the five Lions Clubs of Zone 6, namely, Lions Club of Mukah, Lions Club of Sibu Mandarin, Lions Club of Sibu Pahlawan, Lions Club of Sibu Bawang Assan, and Lions Club of Sibu Sungai Merah.
The noble event aimed at creating awareness on the importance of preserving and maintaining our environment was staged in conjunction with the Lions International District 308A2,Region 2, Zone 6 Committee Meeting.
Besides erecting the signboard, they also gave away assistance in the form of food stuffs to a poor family at Kampung Pinang, Mukah under the club’s `Relieving Hunger Project’.
Also seen at the meeting held at Kingwood Hotel, Mukah, were the Zone Chairperson, Angela Ng, Past District Governor Dato’ Betty Wong, and Lions club of Mukah President, Henry Lee Liong Ing.
