KUCHING: A post mortem on Norman Kho confirmed that he died as a result of drowning, said State CID chief, SAC Dato’ Dev Kumar.

Norman Kho’s remains were claimed by his family members for burial yesterday morning.

The body of 32-year-old Norman Kho, a pub owner from Samarahan, was found on a bank of Sungai Semedang at Kampung Danu, Padawan near here, at about 1pm last Saturday.

A tour guide saw Kho’s remains lying face down near a rock clad only
in a pair of brown shorts and police who arrived at the scene after being informed did not find any identification document on him.

Firemen later took his remains to the morgue of Sarawak General Hospital and police classified the case as sudden death.

Kho’s wife said the last time she contacted him was last Tuesday afternoon and she could not contact him again after that. She then lodged a police report.
